Cinnamon Soho celebrates Iconic Bollywood Blockbuster’s 40th Anniversary
From the bright lights of Bollywood to the bustling heart of central London, award-winning soho restaurant London; Cinnamon Soho is celebrating the 40th anniversary of one of India’s most iconic films – Sholay – with a specially crafted menu to honour the blockbuster classic.
First released in 1975, Sholay is still the highest-grossing Indian film of all time. Dubbed ‘The Godfather’ of Indian cinema, it was the first CinemaScope movie that changed Bollywood forever. The action-adventure film follows two former petty thieves – Jai and Veeru – recruited by a retired police officer to capture a ruthless bandit for a handsome reward. Gabbar Singh, played by Amjad Khan, is still the most popular villain in the history of Hindi cinema and his powerful portrayal and piercing looks are etched in cinematic history.

Guests can take their pick of any number of dishes from the limited-edition menu, which runs Monday to Saturday from 11am until 11pm throughout August at the London Indian restaurant.
