The UK's first Marmite-infused Indian menu has launched at Cinnamon Soho. The love/hate menu blends the famously unique taste of the nation’s most loved spread with modern Indian cuisine to tickle those gastronomic tastebuds.
The all Marmite-y menu includes a starter, choice of two mains and dessert and has been created by Executive Chef, Vivek Singh and Head Chef, Ramachandran Raju.Vivek Singh says: “I’m always searching for ways to create innovative, exciting dishes that combine Indian flavours with unusual ingredients. Marmite complements Indian spices extremely well and makes for a great addition to the base flavours we use in most of our dishes."
The partnership with one of Britain’s most iconic brands is set to divide the nation, creating a new way to enjoy the unique taste of the much debated spread and moving it into the restaurant world for the first time.
The menu, served as either a full tasting menu or as part of the main menu is available from 18th November for £35 per person. Joanne O'Riada Marmite spokesperson said: “This menu is a fusion of two of Britian's best loved foods. There's no where better that this could have happened than with one of the UK's most loved chef's - it's second to naan!"
