Indian restaurant Cinnamon Soho revolutionising London's dining scene
So summer is supposedly upon us and like most people you are probably becoming more and more conscious about what you are eating over the coming months in order to avoid feeling uncomfortable when you pose on the beach on your well-deserved holiday. That may well mean that you are thinking about eating less in general, which is not a nice thought, especially if you enjoy your food. The great news is that if you still want to enjoy a lot of food you can - just have lots of small plates.
If you’re a fan of Indian cuisine and you want to indulge in healthy Indian recipes then you need to come and visit Cinnamon Soho this summer in order to see what London’s best Indian street food really tastes like.
The philosophy at our most recent Indian restaurant in soho is to take beautiful Indian food (what we have learnt from The Cinnamon Club and Cinnamon Kitchen) and condense it into smaller portions. We have become renowned for our small plates and the likes of Time Out, Square Meal and Taste of London have all awarded us for our creative and delicious small plates. At Cinnamon Soho you can enjoy a variety of dishes that will journey you throughout India all in one go.
Why not get started with a roasted chilli pepper filled with spiced paneer or have some crisply crumbed nuggets of lamb’s brain ahead of a slow-roasted ox-cheek vindaloo.
Or you could try a classic north Indian curry of karela chana – bitter gourd with chana dahl lentils – is topped with stuffed dudhi (Indian marrow).
We have crab-cake balls, tiny potato bondas, moist beef shami kebab and even tiny scotch quail eggs to choose from too.
You can always end your journey through India by fusing it with one of the most famous dishes in the UK – a rogan-josh shepherd’s pie, which is a very popular dish amongst the regulars. And for dessert, you can always have a lassi pannacotta with tamarind-glazed figs, or carrot halwa matched with cinnamon ice cream.
The choice is plentiful and the beauty of it all is that given the sizes you can try as much as you like without feeling guilty. After all, our dishes at Cinnamon Soho restaurant are made using healthy & simple Indian recipes. Join our email newsletter to receive new recipes every month.
